Our purpose is to provide quality care and education to children who are between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.
Western Day Care Centres are among the largest daycare centres in South Western Ontario with over 30 years of experience in Early Childhood Education in two locations: Hyde Park in northwest London. and Emery Street in south London.
We offer several unique features not found in other daycare centres. WDCC has nearly 40 years experience operating as an non-profit child care provider, coupled with longstanding relationships with the Ministry of Education, Public Health, Children, and Family Services, and with the City of London. The latter is a particularly significant relationship, as approximately 50% of the organizations revenue is derived from City subsidies.
Over the years WDCC educators have taught children from a diverse cultural mix, with 22 home languages including Ojibwa, Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, French, and Farsi, and originating from 37 different countries. This has provided WDCC Educators the opportunity to specialize in integrating children with language and cultural differences and to share these cultural experiences with all of the children. Additionally, the Centre, which is incorporated as a charitable organization under Ontario laws, is governed by a parent-run Board of Directors.
